Obituary of Paul Richard Paura

Paul R. Paura, of Fort Erie, Ontario, passed away February 17, 2017 surrounded by his loving family at the HHS (Hamilton-General). Born March 29, 1966 in Toronto. Beloved son of Hilda and Harry Paura, second of five children, but always striving for first place in all that he did. Uncle to Jacob, Aaron, Lauren, Lindsay, Carolyn, Grace and Rachel, Maria and Hans. Paul is survived by his Mother Hilda, youngest sister Jennifer Logan (Mike), with brothers Marcus (Tawnya), John (Olya) and Randy (Monica). He will be sadly missed by his large extended family (by blood and oath), very close friends, cycling buddies and associates, and so many others around the world. Celebrated cyclist, physical fitness enthusiast and living life full out. Paul has moved on to his next great adventure, that he always spoke of so fondly and dearly, to be with his Lord and Saviour. Benner Funeral Services 1105 Benner Avenue, Fort Erie, entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Friday, 24-Feb from 3:30-5:30pm. Memorial service thereafter, celebrated by Pastor Bruxy Cavey at Benner's Chapel, 5:30 pm. Internment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, take action per your convictions and help make this world a better place (Paul would likely challenge us all to meet or exceed 4 out of 6!): - donate or subscribe to Canadian Blood Services (www.blood.ca) - get on the stem cell registry (www.blood.ca/stemcells/stemcells) - support your local Hospital with a donation, or encourage your MPP to invest in its resources so Canadians can live strong (see the OECD site for world class benchmarks and solutions) www.oecd.org/els/health-systems - hug a cyclist (well, ask permission first) - hug a buddy (honestly! might be a life changing experience) - hug your family (however protocol allows/dictates) Thank you, everyone for your love, support and prayers.
