Obituary of Marion Horning

Horning, Marion Gail

After a brief illness, Marion passed away on March 28, 2024 at Douglas Memorial Hospital in her 90th year.  Predeceased by her husband Wilfred (2009) and parents Carl & Ellen Marsh.  Sadly missed by her children (all her favourite) Nancy Hooper, Wendy Koudys and Alan (Denise) Horning.  Loving Granny to Jeffery (Michelle) Hooper, Patti (Anthony) Nicoletta, Erin (Dave) Brown, Mark (Rhianne) Starrs, Hannah Horning and Elijah Horning. Adored GG to Kaitlyn, Ellen & Joanna Hooper, Andrew, Isabella & Cara Nicoletta, Cole & Kendall Brown, Lyla Cookson, Grayson Spicer, Lylah & Oakley Horning. 

Marion proudly knitted and crocheted afghans for her family, leaving them a handmade symbol of her love and talent.  She will be remembered for her love of baking, especially her butter tarts, pies, Christmas and chocolate chip cookies.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.  She was also a receptionist for Dr. Leung for many years.
