Obituary of Eva May Matthews

Matthews: Eva May (nee Storey)

Passed away peacefully at the Maple Park Lodge on Saturday October 23, 2021 with her family by her side.  Eva was born in England on July 1 1923.  Predeceased by husbands James Storey and Ray Matthews, step sons John and Rick Matthews and step grandson Philip Plato.  Survived by stepchildren Carol (Don) Johnson, Joan Scinta, Debbie (Gary) Possler, Patty (Alan) Plato, Nancy (Terry) Cox, Viki Busche and Linda Matthews as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.  Eva will be remembered for working at Ineson's and her volunteer work at St. Paul's and the Douglas Memorial Auxiliary.  Benner Funeral Services entrusted with arrangements.  A funeral will be held at St. Paul's Anglican Church on Monday November 1st at 11 am followed by interment in the churchyard.  If making a contribution in memory of Eva, please consider the Douglas Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
