We met Marissa & her family at our St Michael Church here in Fort Erie. She joined us on our Filipino/ Canadian picnic for several times & Christiana enjoyed a lot. Our deepest sympathy for the loss of Marissa. Our thoughts & prayers are with her family and especially to Christiana her little princess. “Marissa Rest In Peace” Surely you will be missed!!! My dearest Ate Marie, what a blessing it was to have you. You have touched our lives in so many ways that we will never forget. Your sweet and loving gesture that everyone will remember. Your death leaves a huge void in our hearts that only time can heal but knowing that you are in the arms of God, the creator and redeemer I would say it's hard but that is the reality. Death is inevitable. Ate Marie was a wonderful and a strong person. A loving daughter, sister, Aunt, wife, friend and mom to her only princess Christianna. Thank you Ate for you made me feel that I am not just your niece but your own little sister. It really breaks my heart that I am so far away and I can't be there to bid you final goodbye. I think there is no goodbye for us because you are not gone, you are just ahead of us. Soon, if I get a chance to see Christianna again I will definitely love and care for her like you did. I miss you and Christianna so much. I did not expect that 3 years ago was our last bonding. Last "hatid sundo" sa airport. I could still remember how happy you were when you went home and had a family reunion. Also, I will going to miss our conversation. SORELY, I will miss you... No more pain...Fly high... Our sincerest condolences to the family of Marissa. We met Marissa and Perry at our St. Michael Church. She joined a couple of our Filipino picnics prior to Covid. We had the pleasure of meeting and interacting with Christiana, her sweet little kid in our picnic in 2019 I remember how enthusiastic she was about the history of the Old Fort (where we had our picnic). Very smart kid. We are going to miss Marissa. Never thought summer of 2019 will be the last time seeing you. Rest in peace beautiful soul. - Rey and Mayeen Vergara

My memory of Marissa began in 1998 when I first received a letter from her. That Beganthe beginning of a long relationship/friendship Marissa was a beautiful person inside and out.she was a woman with a big heart, a lot of love ,considerate,patient,a woman of strong faith, loved her family deeply and cared a great deal for her beautiful young daughter. Even though I had not seen Marisa in almost 10 years we kept in touch always remembering each other’s Bd and holidays. I found out she was very sick late dec20 when she shared her illness with and asked me to keep her in my prayers which I did.my heartfelt sympathy to her mother, sister Liza, sr amata,bebeth , her lovely little girl christiana and all her family members. Enjoy your heavenly reward in heaven Marissa with Jesus. Yu will always be remembered in my heart with much love and respect. Yu were one of a kind Marissa .
