Obituary of George Robert 'Bob' Barnes

Peacefully with family by his side on Friday August 16, 2019, Bob passed away just shy of his 83rd birthday at Maple Park Lodge, Fort Erie. Bob is now reunited with his beloved wife Jean. Loving father to Greg (Doreen), Scott (Lisa), and Kristen (Doug) Gilmour. Adoring papa to Justin, Karissa, Tianna, Jenna, Quynn, Riley and Mackenna and his precious Molly. A very special thank you to the staff at Maple Park Lodge, as well as Dr. Scher for their exceptional care and compassion. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 from 6- 8pm at Benner Funeral Home, 1105 Benner Ave. Fort Erie. A Funeral Service will be held in the Benner Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at Ridgeway Memorial Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Fort Erie SPCA or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
