Obituary of Tony DiGiorgio

DiGiorgio: Antonio Tony passed away on August 11, 2019 peacefully surrounded by family and love in his 91st year. He is now reunited with his beloved wife Mary whom he was a dedicated and loving caregiver to until her death 9 months ago. Tony is the beloved father of Diana (Alistair) Gunn and loving Nonno to Michael and Natalie. Tony is predeceased by his sisters Lavinia and Maria and brothers in law Isidoro and Carmelo as well as his niece Lena. He is the cherished uncle to Alba (Filippo) Bravoco, Michael (Susan) Bonito, Lori Bonito (Terry Harford) and Vincent Cottone. He is also survived by his cousin Lavinia Giampaolo and other family members in Canada and Italy. We are forever grateful for the wonderful care given by Dr. Marchi, Dr. Scher and the amazing staff at Douglas Memorial Palliative Care Unit for the great care and compassion for Tony. Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Wednesday August 14th from 1 pm until the time of services in the Chapel at 230. Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery. If so desired, donations to the Douglas Memorial Hospital Auxiliary for the benefit of Palliative Care or the Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
