Greggain, Thomas Hilton "Tony"
It is with great sadness that the family of Tony Greggain announce his passing at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Sunday, April 21st, 2019 at the age of 94. Predeceased by his loving wife Elaine (nee Cotter) and his brothers Ron & Norman. Proud father of Gail Bown (late Jim), Tom (Amy) and Mary Ellen Tabor (late Don). Cherished grandfather of Christopher (Tanya), Stephen (Michelle), T.J. (Lyndsay), Andrew (Courtney), Kailey (Corwin) and Kyle and loving great grandfather of Paige, Carter, Alyssa, Thomas, Keaton, Kaia and Lewis. Uncle Tony will be fondly remembered by his many nieces nephews and extended family.
At the age of 19 he married the love of his life and settled in Renfrew and later their family of three moved to Fort Erie in 1961. Tony worked for the town of Fort Erie and later for the Niagara Region. As a WWII veteran he belonged to the Legion for over 40+ years. He enjoyed wood working, fishing and was a handy man offering his time & skills when needed. Tony was a long-time member of St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church and volunteered in many capacities including the Knights of Columbus.
Benner Funeral Services 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Friday April 26th from 2-4 and 7-9. Vigil Prayers at 3:30. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church 310 Central Ave. Fort Erie on Saturday morning at 11 o'clock. If so desired, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family
