Larry Goring Ret. MTP S/Sgt Larry Goring William (Larry) Lawrence Goring passed away on January 17, 2019 peacefully in his 78th year after a brief battle with cancer. Wife Diane and his children Todd and Tracey (John) were at his side. Gramps will be missed by Reece, Mitchell, Nick, Luke, Karyssa and Gage. Born in Barrie, he was rasied in and lived most of his life in Cooksville. He devoted over 31 years of service to the Metropolitan Toronto Police force and then enjoyed over 24 years of retirement at the cottage near Bracebridge, the winter home in Lakeland, Florida and in the Blackcreek Retirement Community in Stevensville, Ontario. Larry travelled the world with Diane, loved baseball, hockey, trivia and visits from Chevy. Thanks to the amazing nursing staff at the Douglas Memorial Palliative Care unit in Fort Erie. A special thank you to Dr. Kim Scher for the care and attention he pays to each patient and their family. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Douglas Memorial Palliative Care unit through the Niagara Health Foundation. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life service will be held at a future date.
