Obituary of Phil Plato

Plato: Philip Alan After a courageous battle Phil passed away surrounded by the love and support of his family at the Douglas Memorial Hospital on Monday April 24th, 2017 at the age of 31. He was the cherished son of Alan and Patricia (nee Matthews). His sister Amanda (Joe Rowling) and nieces Julia and Caitlin are left with wonderful memories of a loving brother and uncle. Special thanks to the Candeloro family for all of their support. His large extended family includes aunt, uncles, cousins and many wonderful friends who knew Phil through his sporting involvement or his work at DJB as an accountant. Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5 until 9 pm. Services will be held in the Chapel on Friday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery. If so desired contributions to a Scholarship Fund at Lakeshore Catholic High School would be appreciated by the family. Information available through the funeral home.
