Obituary of Walter Horner

Peacefully at Douglas Memorial Hospital on October 16th, 2013 in his 87th, year. Walter was predeceased by his loving wife and best friend Ruth. Cherished father of his girls Patti (Gord) Edwards, Nancy (Frank) McGowan and Susan (Peter) Gentile. Sadly missed by his loving grandchildren Mark, Cindy, Katie, Jenna, Steven and Peter Jr. and his great granddaughter Cloe. Walter is survived by his brother Doug Horner and sister Gerry Trombley. Walter was a retired Canadian Customs Officer. Walter will always be remembered for his sense of humour and his infectious smile. A special thank you to Dr. Scher, Dr Csanadi and the wonderful staff at Douglas Memorial Hospital. Benner Funeral Services 1105 Benner Ave Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends on Saturday October 19th, from 3-6pm. A service celebrating his life will be held on Sunday at 1:30pm in the Benner Funeral Chapel. Donations to Heart & Stroke or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by his family.
