Obituary of Helena Hawranek

Hawranek: Helena Passed away peacefully at the Welland Hospital surrounded by her family on July 20th, 2013 at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late Walerian `Frank`. Loving mother of Irena (Paul) Priggen, Jolanta Hawranek, Ninka (Michael Kazmierczak) Hawranek and Danuta (Tony) Zanatta. Cherished grandmother of Tezlin, Alexander, Teanna, Zara and Matthew. Helena was born in Blocko Poland. She and her husband emigrated to Canada in the early 1950`s settling in Fort Erie. Helena was a member of the Catholic Women`s League at St. Michael`s church. She will be sadly missed by her family. Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave. Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Monday July 22nd from 7-9. Funeral Mass will be conducted at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery. If so desired, donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke would be appreciated. The family extend their heartfelt appreciation to the Doctors Kim and Scher, the nurses and PSW`s at Maple Park Lodge where she lived and at the Welland Hospital for the care provided to her in her final days.
