Obituary of Mels Schutter

Schutter: Mels Mels passed away unexpectedly at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Sunday October 30, 2011 in his 71st year. Loving husband of Gerrie. Proud father of Madalaine Baxter. Cherished grandfather of Aaliyah Baxter and Lukas Baxter. Sadly missed by his brother John (Mona) and his sister Lena (Joe) Drebit. Also survived by his niece Cherie (Ed) Byrnes and nephews Robert (Mary Ann) Lawrence and Tom Lawrence. Mels was an Elder of St. Andrew’s Knox Presbyterian Church, Fort Erie. Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9. Funeral Services will be held in the Benner Funeral Chapel on Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock. If so desired, donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
