Obituary of Fred Henderson

Henderson: Frederick Frederick Henderson passed away at the Douglas Memorial Hospital on Saturday September 25th, 2010 in his 98th year. Loving husband of the late Gwyneth. Predeceased by his daughter Jean Barnes and his brother Ewart (Hazel) Henderson. Fred will be sadly missed by his son in law Bob Barnes, his grandchildren Greg (Doreen), Scott (Lisa) and Kristen (Doug) Gilmour, great grandchildren Justin, Karissa, Tianna and Jenna Barnes, Quynn, Riley and Mackenna Gilmour. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Fred served in both the Army and Air Force during WW II. He continued his service with Br. # 71 of the Royal Canadian Legion, the Fort Erie Air Cadets and as a past Chief of the Fort Erie Volunteer Fire Department Station # 1. Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Tuesday September 28th from 2-4 & 7-9. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock. Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery. If so desired, donations to Br. #71 Poppy fund or the Charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
