Obituary of Richard Armstrong

Armstrong - Richard Jack "Dick” Born August 7, 1929, Dick passed away at the Douglas Memorial Hospital on August 27, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. Loving husband for 61 years of Marie. Proud father of Dick Jr. and Gary (Jeannette). Cherished grandfather of Mike (Diane), Becky, Vicky, Brett, Matthew (Deborah) and Adam and great grandfather of Ashley, Tanner, Megan and Morgan. Sadly missed brother of Harrie, Tom, Muriel Lowe and Susan Balfour. Predeceased by his son Ken. Dick retired as a car foreman from the C.N.R. A member of Royal Canadian Legion Br. #71, Past Master of Palmer Lodge 372 A.F.&A.M. , Past DDGM Niagara District B., Past TPGM Elgin Lodge of Perfection A&ASR. Member Niagara Chapter Rose Croix A&ASR. Member Moore Sovereign Consistory A&ASR. Honorary Inspector General 33 Supreme Council A&ASR. Member Ismailia Temple AAONMS Buffalo N.Y., Member Niagara Shrine Club. Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4 & 6-9. Masonic Lodge Services will take place at 6:30 Monday evening. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday morning at 11 o’clock from the Benner Funeral Chapel. Interment to follow in Pleasantview Memorial Gardens.
