Obituary of John Alvin Benner

Peacefully at the Welland County General Hospital on October 7th, 2009 surrounded by the love of his family, John Alvin Benner in his 88th, year . Loving husband of Madeline Benner. Cherished father of Ann Roy (Tom) of London and Kathyrn Vander Wielen (Henry) of Kerwood. Proud grandfather of Bob Benner, Stacey Wright, Katie Spear, Bill and Claire Roy as well as three great grandchildren. Sadly missed by sisters Margaret Benner of Port Colborne and Millie Fraser of Sherkston. Predeceased by son Richard Louis (September 2009) and sister Jane Lamorie (October 2008). John proudly served in the Royal Canadian Navy during WW II and was a longtime employee of Herb Fraser and Associates. Benner Funeral Services 1105 Benner Ave. Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. Funeral Service will be at 2pm on Saturday October 10th, 2009 at The Benner Funeral Chapel with The Reverend Duncan Lyon officiating.
