Obituary of Joseph Mario Rocca

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Rocca "Papa Joe" Rocca on Friday September 18th, 2009 at the Douglas Memorial Hospital at the age of 50 while surrounded by his loving family. Long time partner and best friend of Margaret Santha. Loving "dad" to Jonathan and Daniel Santha. Cherished brother of John (Carole) Rocca and proud uncle of Chris (Melissa), Vanessa (Jeff) Shannon, Joey, Katie and great uncle to Liam Shannon. Sadly missed by Brothers-in-law David & Franny O'Connor, their family David, Vinny and Brittaney and Jack & Geraldine Lauzon, their family Joshua and Joe's bright shining star Hailey. Also survived by his Uncle Nick and Aunt Lucy Aiello of Welland and extended family and friends in Welland, Toronto, Italy, Africa and Ireland, Joe will greatly be missed by all. Benner Funeral Services 1105 Benner Ave Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 7-9 and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Vigil prayers will be offered in the funeral home at 3:30pm on Tuesday. Mass of Christian Burial at St Michael's Roman Catholic Church at 11am Wednesday. In lieu of flowers donations to ALS Society would be appreciated by the family.
