Obituary of Gordon Samuel House

House: Gordon Samuel Gord passed away at home surrounded by his family on Monday February 26th, 2018 at the age of 83. Loving husband of Jean (nee Hawkins) . Dear father of Greg House and Tara (Robin) Baker. Cherished grandfather of Amanda, Jason, Justin, Corey, Lauren, Matthew and Beth. Sadly missed by his great grandchildren, his sisters Elaine Bartscher and Miriam Haynes as well as his nieces, nephews and the many members of the Hawkins family with whom he had a special bond. We will always remember the support and care provided by Lorne, Janet, Pat and Dr. Scher. Gord was the long-time owner of the Stevensville Planning Mill. Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The family welcome everyone to visit with them at the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 230 Ridgeway from 1-3 pm on Saturday March 3rd. We will then continue to celebrate Gord's life as he wished from informally from 3-5 pm with a drink and a laugh. If so desired, donations to the Walker Family Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
