Obituary of Leonard Stanley Jackson

After a courageous battle with cancer Lenny passed away surrounded by the love of his family and friends on Sunday November 19th, 2017 at the age of 59. He will be sadly missed by his best friend and partner for over 20 years of Joyce McQuestion. Loving brother of Linda (Bruce) Long and Larry (Gillain) Jackson. He was the proud uncle of Kristi (Fran) VanRooyen, Matthew Long, Joey (Shellee) Jackson, Jamie (Dawn) Jackson and Kelly (Ralph) Marino Great Uncle to Nicholas, Joshua, Amber, Conner, Nathan, Amanda and Amy. Lenny will forever be in the hearts of Joyce's daughter Katie (Andrew), her brother Larry Cornell and nephew Matthew (Cindy) Hornell. Lenny leaves behind his closest friend Andy (Katie) and their 4 children as well as many other wonderful friends and extended family Lenny was employed as a machinist for over 20 years at Fleet Industries and will be remembered for his love of family, woodworking and his cars. The family extend their appreciation to Dr. Scher and the Palliative Care staff of Douglas Memorial Hospital for the dignified and compassionate care provided to Lenny. Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Tuesday November 21st from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock with a reception to follow. Following the reception, interment will take place at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. If so desired, donations Tender Wishes or the Ronald McDonald House would be appreciated by the family.
