Obituary of Helen Elizabeth Cameron

Cameron: Helen E. (nee Foley) Helen passed away at the Douglas Memorial Hospital on Saturday July 20th, 2013 at the age of 88. Predeceased by her beloved husband Dugal (1988) Sadly missed by her sister Bernadette M. Jacob her beloved niece Linda C. Neri (nee Jacob) her other nieces, nephews extended family and friends. Predeceased by her sisters Evelyn Lanoue, Virginia M. Foley and her brother Clifford J. Foley. Born and raised in the Riverside section of Buffalo, she graduated from All Saints School and Riverside High School. She worked as a bookkeeper at Horton Coffee in Buffalo and in later years at Markel Electric in Fort Erie. A longtime parishioner of St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church in Fort Erie where she sang for many years in the choir and was a member of the CWL. In later years she became an accomplished knitter making many charitable items for babies, small children and their mothers. Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave. Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 5-8 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church 310 Central Ave. on Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock. Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery. If so desired, donations to Community Outreach Program Erie (COPE) would be appreciated by the family.
