Obituary of Freda Melba Nagy
Freda Melba (Barnes) Nagy passed away quietly/peacefully on 28 May 2013 at
Gilmore Lodge, Fort Erie, after a long illness (Alzheimer's), with her family at her side. She is survived by her husband Joseph Nagy of 62 years, loving children Joan (Frank)Denton of Hamilton, ON, son Terry (Patt), White Rock, B.C., and son Perry (Ann) of Ridgeway, ON; survived by one sister Shirley (William) Schneider, Princeton, B.C. and one half-brother Alex Amos, White Rock, B.C.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her mother Marion (Shether) Barnes, Surrey, B.C., father Cyril Barnes, Mission, B.C., step-father Lloyd Amos, Surrey, B.C., and sister Dorothy (Phil) McCoy, Wash. USA.
Freda was born in Burnaby, B.C., and lived in Chilliwack., B.C., Halifax, N.S., Yukon Territory, Victoria, B.C. Montreal, Toronto, and Ottawa, ON, in dutifully support of a military family and working as a florist for many years before being admitted to Gilmore Lodge LTC. She and her flowers brought joy and happiness to everyone she met.
