Cathy and family,
I just heard about John's passing and your loss.
Unfortunately, we have not seen each other for many years. I have nothing but fond memories of our times together in Ridgeway and all our camping and baseball adventures in the sixties. I cannot walk into an A and W today without thinking about the end of game celebrations with John when we would race to Port Colborne on #3 highway . Always John leading the way with his red pickup truck.
You were always in the stands cheering us on.
In times like this , we retreat into those memories that were special to us and the great people we met along the way.
Words cannot express adequately how we feel nor console you.
In John's honour, I will have a tree planted by ReForest London in recognition of his love of the land from his early farming days.
We are thinking about you in these difficult times.

Dear Cathy & Family,
Our deepest sympathy to you all. We will never forget the wonderful welcome dinner, when we were the new pastoral couple in the Niagara area. John's fun-loving way of sharing God's love with all who came into contact with him, will always be in our hearts. Praying that you will have the peace of God, the hope of His promises, and sense the comfort of His Holy Spirit now and always.

Dear Cathy and Family:
John was a godly man whose passion for people and empathy for the disadvantaged left huge impact wherever he went. Years ago, as a
young farmer in the Sherkston area, he and the late Harold Winger crossed the generations to be "farming friends". We remember John's stories, his laughter and his love for family. Our sympathy and prayer to each of you who loved him so well.

Cathy I'm so sorry for your loss. I want you to know I blessed I felt when you and John missed the first flight to
Haiti so you could be with Caitlin and I. That was a stressful day for all and I know John felt bad for us being separated. However God knew! I'm so thankful for the great time in Haiti. I'll never forget John's positive spirit as he always answered the question, 'How are you today?" With "Topshelf" And how he ended every devotional time with, "And all the people who love God said, _____" He had a special way to draw us all to the Father. I also am thankful for your spirit and compassionate heart to the team and Haitian people.
Please know that Wayne and I will be faithful to pray for you and your family in these trying days, weeks, and months ahead. Take time to grieve. Need help, talk to our friend Leonard Chester.
Blessings my friend,
Gloria & Wayne

his path with God's grace. Thank-you for the example of God's grace

Dear Cathy
I was in Arkansa when Laurel told me the sad news. I cannot begin to describe how grateful we are for having John in our lives. Few people have had as much an impact in my life as he has in just the seven years I have known him. Words cannot convey how sorely he will be missed.
I am trying to "see"him with the Father and I can manage a smile; I get this picture of John boy introducing Jesus to pie...

Pastor John (PJ to our boys) will be forever loved and now missed. His teaching to us was not only as our pastor but by the wonderful Christian example of how he lived his life-loving Jesus, his family, his friends, his congregation, the people of Haiti and anyone else whom he met. Our sincere sympathy to Cathy, the boys and their families. It was an honor to call John "friend". With much love, Peter, Tammy, Matthew and Nicholas
