Obituary of Marion Lelia Nelson

Nelson: Marion Lelia (nee Plato) Marion passed away peacefully at the Douglas Memorial Hospital on June 8th, 2011 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late William. Proud mother of Janet (Bob) Smith, Wayne (Carole) Nelson and Rob Nelson. Loving grandmother of Terri Smith, Tracey (Dave) Wilkinson, Michael (Lisa) Smith, Brian Nelson, Dave Nelson and Deb (Russ) Edmunds. Cherished great grandmother of William and Jessica Smith, Sean Starr and Scotty and Sarah Edmunds. Sadly missed by her sister in law Gladys Plato. Predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Lelia Plato, her brothers Fred and Norm Plato and her granddaughter in law Amber Nelson. Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 7 – 9. Funeral services will be conducted in the Benner Funeral Chapel on Saturday morning at 11 o’clock. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. If so desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Douglas Memorial Hospital Palliative Care would be appreciated by the family. The family wish to thank her family physician Dr. Spencer, Dr. Scher for his compassionate care, nurse Elizabeth of C.C.A.C. and the nurses at the Douglas Memorial Hospital as well as Rev. Raye Brown.
