Obituary of Walter Tom Pearce

PEARCE, Walter Tom - born October 15, 1919, joined his beloved wife Hilda (nee Gardiner) in eternal life on Thursday, November 23, 2017, with his family by his side at the Douglas Memorial Hospital. Loving father of Jeanette Douglas (Craig) and Roger Pearce (Linda). Devoted grandfather of Stephanie (Matt), Karen (Ron), Amanda (Eddie), Christopher (Daphine), Kimberley and Kelly (Rob). Cherished great grandfather of Pearce, Alexander, Lauren, Micah, Abbott and Landon. Predeceased by his sisters Edith Love and Eileen Pearce and brothers George, John and Dennis. He will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Walter was a member of Central Ave. United Church, St. John's Stevensville United Church and an avid golfer, still walking the course and golfing until 2015. He was a Veteran of World War II and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 71, Fort Erie. Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive their friends at the Funeral Home on Thursday, November 30th after 10 a.m. where a service to celebrate his life will be be held at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the M.S. Society.
