Obituary of Raimondo Montana

MONTANA, Raimondo - It is with a heavy heart to announce the passing of our father, Raimondo Montana. He was peacefully called by God on June 6, 2018. It was the most beautiful moment when our father was surrounded by all of us. He opened his eyes, looked at us all and took his last breath. The room was filled with so much love. He will forever be remembered as our first love, our teacher, our king, our pillar of strength and perseverance, and our angel. Rest in Peace. Loving husband to Carmela Montana. Devoted father to Nina Gianfrancesco, Charles (Dawn) Montana, Manuele Montana, and Angela (Mario) Catenaccio. Loving grandfather to Vincent (Katherine) Gianfrancesco, Raymond (Morna Boyle), Jasmine Montana, Rielly Montana, Luigi Catenaccio, (Rebecca De Abreau), Carmilenna Catenaccio, Raymond Kohl Montana and great-grandfather to Pasquale, Kosta, and Bernie. Survived by his sisters Rosa (late Joseph Fiorica), Giuseppina (late Giovanni Burgio) and Giovanna (late Alfonso Montana), brother Vincent Montana (Teresa), sisters-in-law Florence Argento (late Joseph), Guiseppina Burgio (late Antonio), brother-in-law (late Pasquale) Giusippina Burgio and many nieces and nephews. Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie has been entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive visitors on Saturday, June 9th from 6-9 p.m. and Sunday, June 10th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Monday, June 11th at 11 a.m. at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, 310 Central Ave., Fort Erie. Rite of Committal will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Thompson Road, Fort Erie.
