Obituary of Vincent Victor Buklis

With sadness I share that at 1:45 on December 7, 2016, Vincent Buklis decided to take a walk with the angels and his ancestors, and leave behind his valiant 5-month-long battle with cancer. In his final hours, he was accompanied and entertained by his wife, Pamela, and their four children. He fought fiercely to recover the strength to go snowshoeing and canoeing again, but we believe his new heavenly companions are showing him a short cut to that park. Vince was a long-time employee of Canada Immigration and was a proud member of the Thorold Reed Band. Vince is survived by his wife, 4 children and 3 grandchildren. His family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the neurology, oncology, ER ad ICU teams at the Juravinski Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario, who provided their expert, diligent and compassionate care throughout the last 5 months. Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie has been entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Monday December 12th from 2-4 & 7-9. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11 am at St. Michael's Catholic Church,310 Central Ave, Fort Erie, If so desired, donations to the Juravinski Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
