Obituary of Hubert Nicholas John Schier

Schier, Hubert Nicholas John It is with sadness the family of Hubert Schier announces his passing on Friday April 8th, 2011 at Millennium Trail Manor, Niagara Falls. Born June 3rd, 1926, he was in his 85th year. Beloved husband for 40 years of the late Anne (nee Healy) Schier (1991). Proud father of Manford Schier, Lynda Schier, Allen (Faith) Schier, Joanne (Don) Zuba, Beth (Colin) Pett and Thomas Schier. Special Grandpa to Eric, Jake and Anna Pett and James and Patrick Schier. A lifelong resident of the Stevensville area, Hubert was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Louisa, brothers Murray and Manny and sisters Grace and Erma. He will be remembered by his many nieces and nephews, as well as the members of his extended family. Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A service to celebrate his life will be held in the Benner Funeral Chapel on Wednesday April 13th at 11 am. Private interment services will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Snyder. The family wish to thank the staff of Millennium Trail Manor for their wonderful care and consideration throughout our father’s stay. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Alzheimer’s Society.
