Obituary of Phyllis Marian Hearn

Hearn, Phyllis Marion (Gigi) August 7th, 1928 - September 26th, 2018. It is with great sadness that at the tender age of 90 at Douglas Memorial Hospital we announce the passing of our extraordinarily beautiful and sweet mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Survived by her daughters Mary Jane and Meaghan, her granddaughter Meaghan Passero and her three precious loves, great granddaughters Delaney, Reaghan and Myley. Phyllis also leaves behind her sweet angels Patty, Nancy, Karen, Becky, Herbie, Tony, as well as many nieces and nephews. Mom's radiant smile and her sweet elegant way made her a second mom, grams, Gigi and very special friend to many. She is now reunited with her husband Vincent (1971), mother Leta Horton (1992), aunt Lida Embury (1983), long-time companion Howard Hurst (2004), cousins Robert Embury, Warren Embury, Helen Embury, Ruth and Walter Horner, and her beloved son Jeffery (2011). To all the lovely women from Care Partners Bonnie, Emily, Tammy, Danelly, nurses from Saint Elizabeth Alex, Pat, nurses and support staff from Douglas Memorial Hospital and the remarkable Dr. Kim Scher your kindness, compassion and that little extra TLC you all gave to mom made her smile and we will always be grateful. You are invited to join the family in a "Celebration of Life" that will be held on Saturday October 6th from 2 p.m. through 4 p.m., at Central Fire Hall. If so desired the family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Douglas Memorial Auxiliary. Benner Funeral Services have been entrusted with arrangements.
