My condolences to the Stoddard family. Al worked his last job at the company i work for. BCR Electric. Just at our Christmas break we were remembering some of the stories Al ised to tell us. Evey time i came to Fort Erie i gave Al a call to meet for coffee and catch up. The last several years he was quite busy with hockey and his grandkids. He always thanked me for thinking of him which i assurred him i was the lucky recipient of his friendship. Sad i missed his visitation. Will miss our visits Al (Ray)

I have not talked to Al since the early 70s since my mis spent youth in the south end poolroom. He lived next door on top of Cam's drugs and would come down to gamble on games like the rest of us south end guys...a few of us being only 12 and 13. He was a good player. Al always had an avuncular attitude toward us kids and did not throw a fit or stiff us when losing like so many other older guys did. Even after over half a Century I have never forgotten the man. He was a kind gentle considerate guy as juxtaposed to many of the maniac derelicts who frequented the bowling alley and the poolroom. I never forgot that guy.
