Obituary of Elsa Albert

ALBERT, Elsa - It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Elsa Albert, on Wednesday November 20th, 2024 at Douglas Memorial Hospital in her 98th year. Loving wife of Helmut, pre deceased in 2012. Proud mother of Gary (Sharon) of Mississauga, Eva (Bev) Pearce of Ridgeway, Carol (Jeff) Genzer of Ridgeway, Steven (Karri) of Collingwood and Tina of Fort Erie. Predeceased by her son Henry in 1974. Loving Oma to Sean (Melissa) McCooey, Katie McCooey, Elaine (Stephen) Andrews, Alex (Tina) Genzer, Kristen Genzer, Darrell and Aether Albert. Cherished great-Oma to Nicolas, Ryan, Gwen, Caelan.

Born in Alzey, Germany, Elsa and Helmut, along with their son Gary, emigrated to Canada in 1954 and settled in Fort Erie where they stayed to bring up their family. In recent years she enjoyed her afternoon coffee at Tim Hortons with her dear friend Kathy and Friday Bingo at the Fort Erie Lions Hall. We would like to thank Dr. Scher and his palliative care staff for their care and support.

Benner Funeral Services have been entrusted with funeral arrangements. Cremation has taken place, and a private Graveside Committal service will be held at a later date.
