Obituary of Janice Patricia Woehl

Woehl, Janice (Armstrong) - It is with broken hearts that we announce the unexpected but peaceful passing of our loving mother Janice Patricia Woehl on November 5, 2024 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital.

Beloved wife of Roger for 66 years and adoring mother of Tami Johnsen and Kori Woehl. Loving sister to Paul, Linda and Barbara. Cherished grandmother of Chris (Eryn), Sarah and Danny. Proud great grandmother “Ma”, of Jack, Drew and Troy. Janice is predeceased by her parents Herbert and Dorothy Armstrong. A devoted teacher within the community for over 30 years, Janice will be sadly missed by brothers and sisters in law, many nieces, nephews, students, extended family members, family pets and dear friends.

Janice was loved and adored by all that knew her and was a meticulous record keeper who journaled daily. She was also a dedicated Toronto Blue Jay fan, baker, puzzler and collector of memorabilia. Janice was the biggest cheerleader of her children and grandchildren, both in sports and academics. Whether it was a weekend trip to Atlantic City with girlfriends, bridge club, chatting on the phone, or hosting a family event, you could always count on Janice to bring a positive attitude and some witty remarks. 

Benner Funeral Services has been entrusted with funeral arrangements. Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life will be held at a future date to honour Janice’s amazing life.
