Obituary of Shelley May Kechego
Peacefully, at home in Fort Erie, Ontario, on Sunday, August 25, 2024, in her 63rd year, Shelley May Kechego, formerly of London, Ontario, and a member of the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation, began her journey home.
She was the beloved mother of Sherrie Kechego, Kinzie Kechego, and Colleen Kechego (Kevin). Shelley was a loving grandmother to Thalia (Alex), Gabe, Gisele, Kiwi-Ann, Arizona, Meeka, Freedom, Caleigh, Aedin, Keirah, Estelle, Colin, Keegan, Lillianna, Brian, and Hailey, and a great-grandmother to Noah. She was also a loving sister to Deborah, Jean, Ron, Karen, Fred, and Sherry, and a special aunt to Lena (Dan) and Grayson.
Predeceased by her parents, Murray Fredrick Kechego and Nina Kechego (Peters), as well as her siblings Maryanne, Murray and good friend, Daniel. Shelley will be deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Fort Erie Native Friendship Centre, 796 Buffalo Road, Fort Erie, Ontario, on Thursday, September 5, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
