I can remember fishing with Joe SR and Joe Jr many times. The best story was during the Andy Passero memorial bass tournament when our boat was drifting together with Joe Sr and his boat and we happened to tangle lines. Joe Sr though he had the winning fish but his grandson’s were actually pulling the line. We let him fight the fish for awhile and then cut the line :) our boat was laughing and their boat was swearing at the giant they just lost. I’ll never forget that. Such sad news, deepest condolences to the Passero family from Denis Kreze and our family.

I went to high school with Joe, and followed him as he became a lover of drag racing and hot rod acceleration. me at the track, and a real gentleman. Missed by many, loved by all.

Dear Passero Family,
Jack and I offer our condolences on the passing of Joe to each of you. Joe was a dear friend to our son Keith and all his family and will be sorely missed by all of them. Joe loved to drag race so I chose to post a few photos I took this past Sunday at Cayuga, Toronto Motorsports Park when they honoured Joe with a Memorial Pass; a moment of silence and then Joe's dear friends Will Western and Keith McKellar made a pass in his honour.
