1934 - 2024

With deep sadness but thankful for a life well lived, the family of John “Jack” Barnhardt announce his passing. Jack was born December 8, 1934 to Nellie (Snooks) and Alva Barnhardt. He was one of six siblings Bruce, Bill, Mary Ellen, Gord, Bob. Bill (Liz) and Gord (Sheila) survive him. He was the beloved husband of Grace (Shane) for nearly 68 years. Deeply cherished father to Dianne (Jeff) Daly and John (Ann) Barnhardt. Very proud grandfather to Marlo Toppazzini. Jack worked for CN Rail for 38 years and enjoyed his job immensely. When he retired he worked for Fort Erie Do-It Centre for another 23 years and formed some close friendships with the folks working with him. Jack had wonderful friends and so enjoyed his weekly coffee time with them. He will be dearly missed by his nieces and nephews and the rest of his family. He was so very dear to us, we will miss him terribly. Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave, entrusted with arrangements. A visitation will commence on Monday May 27 from 10:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Service in the chapel at 12:00 PM. In Lieu of flowers if so desired memorial donations may be made to Niagara Health Services or Walker Family Cancer Centre. Cremation has taken place.
