Obituary of Shannon Schooley

Shannon Schooley (nee McQuire)

Shannon passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on May 17, 2024 at the age of 77.

Reunited with the love of her life, her husband Lester who passed away last year.  She will be missed by her loving daughters Lauretta (Ron) and Teresa. Also blessed with the love of her grandchildren Cathrine (Carlo), Courtney (Tyson), Bryan (Katrina) and Brittany (Fred), and great grandchildren Shannon, Colt and Logan.  Remembered always by her sister Bridget MacQuire of the UK and Kathleen Pino of the USA as well as and many nieces and nephews.

Shannon’s love was unmistakable.  The matriarch of the family, she showed that supportive kindness a friendly smile a gentle touch or a cookie could calm even the most difficult situations.  She used this god given ability with her family and with the animals that she so passionately cared for at the Fort Erie Animal Hospital where she worked for over 35 years.

A celebration of live will be held at a later date.
