Obituary of Ruth Mehlenbacher
Ruth Alice Mehlenbacher (Hooper) went to be with our Lord on Monday April 22, 2024, in her 96th year. Ruth has one sister Janice Schlau.
She is survived by her 5 children Kenneth (Bonnie), Norma (Wilfred) Hancock, Earl (Vally), Bruce (Linda) and Fay (Jim) Fair.
Proud Grandmother to her 15 grandchildren Karen, Andrea, Jill, Julie, Nicole, Craig, Kenneth Jr., Carrie, Kathy, Andrew, Michael, Paul, Amanda, Bethany and Katie. As well as her 33 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. One little great great granddaughter Emily Mae left us in 2008. She lived just 3 days.
She was predeceased by her husband Alvin (April 2023). Also by her parents Part and Jessie (Luscombe) Hooper, her brothers and their wives Kenneth (Joyce) Hooper and Jack (Audrey) Hooper.
A very special Thank You to Dr. Scher and palliative care staff for their excellent care they provided to our mother and grandmother.
Visitation will be held at Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie, on Friday, April 26, 2024 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM and again the following morning from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM. A Funeral Service will be celebrated in the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Private burial to take place at a later time at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, where she will be laid to rest along side her beloved husband Alvin.
