Obituary of Michael Phillip Collingridge

November 24, 1946 to April 3, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Collingridge on April 3, 2024 at the Douglas Memorial Hospital at the age of 77.

He leaves behind his wife Helen (Gillies) of 55  years. Mike was a proud Dad to Jeffrey (Jessica) of Windsor, Ont. and Gregory (Rebecca) of Fort Erie.

He will be missed by his sister Eleanor Grigor, brother in law Gord Grigor of Marietta, Georgia, niece Lynne Cannizzarro (Joe and Olivia) of Buffalo, NY. Also survived by many cousins in the Fort Erie and Buffalo areas.

Predeceased by his mother Genevieve Collingridge (Brown), father Norman Collingridge, sister Norma DelBello, brother Russell Collingridge, and niece Jill DelBello.

We would like to thank Dr. Kim Scher and all the health care workers of Douglas Memorial and Greater Niagara General Hospitals who provided support to Mike during his final days.

As per Mike’s wishes cremation and a private family interment will take place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Benner Funeral Services, Fort Erie.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Circle Back Foundation.
