Hello I work on 4 East at the Dartmouth General Hospital. Naturally, I only see people when they not at their best. I have a small story to share with you. I wander into his room and I say hi in Czech and introduce myself. He raised an eyebrow and said 'Speak English, we are in Canada.' We chatted for 10 minutes and we had an interesting talk about the Cow Bay Moose. His eyes sparkled. I told him I would bring in some pictures the next night of the moose. I did and we talked about where it was located. I was off the next night but I was in the next and one of the nurses said that 87 (his room number) was complaining about the moose the night before. She figured he meant mouse. I enter the room, he looks at me and says "The moose ate my supper." His food tray was mostly eaten. I make him some toast and I innocently say that I will go take a picture of the moose to prove he was still in the same place and that he didn't eat his supper." I show up the next night and show him the picture and it was the first time he had slept all night while he was with us. Sheldon O'Brien
