Marty and I got to know Mary Ann through the Port Colborne Quilter's Group.
We met Chris at our first folk festival, where he and Mary Ann joined in the singing, drumming and festivities with great zest.
They invited us to their Christmas breakfast which I attended and enjoyed a delicious and festive meal.
After Chris' death we began sharing Monday dinners at Mary Ann's home occasionally joined with Anna . and occasionally. Our friendship developed over the months as we shared bread, good stories, talk and laughs.
At this year's folk festival Mary Ann brought down the house with her rendition of " And There Was Granny, Swinging on the Out House Door".
After her move to Rochester we connected with Mart Ann by phone and learned of the impending birth of a grandchild, a heartfelt wish come true.
I miss Mary Ann'g warm smile, giggle and great stories of the generations of her family, her work and her life with Chris.
May she rest in peace.
