1934 - 2024
After a 5 year battle with Dementia surrounded by family, it is with the heaviest of hearts we announce the passing of our father Leonard McLelland born February 21, 1934.
Leonard is predeceased by his wife Marlene McLelland (May 27, 2023)
Leonard was a family man and will be dearly missed by his children Lynn MacDonald (Dan), Kelly McLelland (Joe), Leonard McLelland Jr. (Lorrie), Tim McLelland (Laura), Kristen Doneff (Ron) and his
many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In the United States Army, Leonard served as a Military Policeman in the Korean War. Leonard later became a boilermaker for Local 7, which he was very proud of.
Leonard after retirement, could be found in his garage, where he always welcomed people over for a beer.
Leonard loves were golf, darts and fishing, where he developed lifelong friendships.
Leonard was a member of Palmer Mason Lodge 372 A.F. & A.M. and Royal Canadian Legion Branch #71 Fort Erie.
The family would like to thank the staff at Gilmore Lodge for the above excellent care and compassion they showed him while in their care.
Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. Family and friends will gather and visit at the funeral home Sunday January 21, 2024 from 11:30 -1:15. A Masonic Lodge service will take place at 1:15 p.m. with Funeral Services following immediately after in the Chapel.
