Obituary of Richard Gordon Benner

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband and father, on September 13, 2023.

Richard (Rick) Benner was born on April 14, 1945 to parents Octave and Anna Benner. He is survived by his brother Robert (Edith) Benner.

Loving husband to Sharon Benner (nee Pilarski). Proud father of Dawn (Steve) Campbell and adoring Papa to Stephen.

Rick was a lifelong hockey fan, especially his Maple Leafs. Like many fans, impatiently waiting for their next Stanley Cup win. He was also an avid horseracing fan, spending much of his time down at the racetrack.

His passing has left a huge void in our lives, he will be forever missed.

Friends and family are invited to a time of Visitation being held at Benner Funeral Services, Fort Erie, on Monday, September 18, 2023 from 1 – 4 PM. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel immediately following the visitation at 4:00 PM. Cremation to follow and interment will be held at a later time.
