My early memories of Carol are the strongest they encompass the early years of the war when we developed a strong companionship the garden at Tower Road was our playground Parents and older siblings were on various war duties Mother brewing tea at the Y.M.C.A. whilst Dad was on civil defence duty. So we had to amuse ourselves and despite her young age she was incredibly innovative. She was born with green fingers so often on Mothers return we proudly presented yet another small garden on Dads manicured lawn !! We were very close during the BLITZ and often comforted each other when air raids came closer. Naturally as she got older Carol was more interested in female company and funningly enough so was I !! Pauli.ne became a regular visitor at Tower Road and took onboard all the eccentricities of my five sisters but they were good mates so she was an obvious choice as a bridesmaid Carol was quite strong willed and we both remember a confrontation with Aunt Phyliss (a very victorian spinster ) which finished with a grand verbal punch up in Tower Road at 2 A.M. in the morning !! I thought it highly amusing until I had to escort her two miles home!! We cannot believe we will not see her smiling face again but feel sure her many lovable GENES will reappear in her children and many grandchildren .We both share your great loss and our thoughts will be with you all when you gather for final goodbye .Pauline and Mervyn.

Carol, I miss you already, knowing I can’t get on Skype and have one of our lengthy hilarious chats. I will treasure all the times I spent with you in Ft. Erie including listening to your tales about our family history. You had a great sense of humor and I know you really did enjoy looking after me as a baby while all the adults had fun. (!) When talking to you, your love and affection for your children and grandchildren were obvious. My family has fond memories of you, their Great Aunt Carol.
We send our sincere condolences to your family who cared for you so very much.
Love from Margaret & Chris, & Ben, Oli, Tom, Beth, Tristan and Camilla.
