Obituary of James Nelson Heron
It is with great sadness that the family of James (Jim) Heron announce his passing on February 6, 2023 in his 79th year with his wife and children by his side, after a long, courageous battle with heart issues & cancer.
Jim was married to the love of his life, Dorothy, for 58 years. He worked at Pierce & Stevens (Sherwin Williams) for 30 years where he was so proud to be plant manager. Jim had a life long passion for horses, the track, fishing & hunting which he loved to share with his son & grandchildren.
Dear father to Michelle (Terry) & Scott (Laura). He loved his grandchildren, Tyler (Laura), Mataya, Westen, Max, Jett and Hudson.
Jim will also be missed by his brother John (Charlotte) & sister Debbie, his cousin Carol, and many nieces & nephews.
Jim had a love for dogs & was “Papa” to Rhea, Lexi, Buck & Maggie who brought him so much joy in his last few years.
A special thank you to Dr.Csanadi, Dr. Scher & the nurses at Douglas Memorial Hospital in Fort Erie. Also to “His Girls” Lisa, Sue, Viki and Betty-Anne for all their help the last few months.
Cremation has been entrusted to Benner Funeral Home in Fort Erie.
In lieu of donations, Jim requested that everyone please “Remember the Good Times & Treasure the Memories”
