Obituary of Lucinda Dorothy Faw

Faw, Lucinda (Cindy) Dorothy nee Kelley

December 1, 1938 - August 18, 2021

 

Cindy was predeceased by her parents Harry and Mildred Kelley (Rumsey), and daughter Maureen Fenton (2019). She was survived by her soul-mate, best friend and husband, Murray.

Their Shared Family: Dean (Pam) Fenton, Michael (Susan) Faw, Brenda (Doug) Campbell, Susan Faw, Mark (Karen Kunzelsauer) Fenton, Rebecca Walker (Faw), Brian Faw, and Robyn (Silvano) Rondinelli; 17 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren.

Cindy was born in Trumansburg, NY on the Kelley family farm. She remained in the Fingers Lakes area until she finished college at Alfred State College for secretarial. She secured a job at Kodak as a secretary where she worked until she started her family. She was also a loving nanny for the Teague family for several years and a baker at Tops Markets in Rochester. Over many years she sold Avon and Watkins and was a dress maker. Finally finishing her working career as a Home Support Worker.

Among her many hobbies were quilting, sewing, genealogy, scrapbooking and card making. There were many hours of volunteering with their local churchs, at St. Joseph's Manor in Elliot Lake, Matthew House in Fort Erie, as the intake coordinator at the Elliot Lake Foodbank, Horticulture Club in both Fort Erie and Elliot Lake, choral singing with the Signature Singers but her happiest time was tending to her beautiful flower gardens.

 

Arrangements entrusted to Benner Funeral Services. Due to Covid restrictions there will be a private celebration of life for immediate family. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Cindy's name to the following organizations,
