Obituary of Robert Elmo Bennett

Bob passed away at Rapelje Lodge in Welland on Friday March 26th, 2021 at the age of 89.  Loving husband of the late Joanne (nee Flindall).  He will be missed by his son, The Rev. Dan Bennett, daughter-in-law, Brenda and grandchildren, Eric and Siobhan (Jordan).  Predeceased by his brother Neil.  Also survived by his nieces and nephews and extended family.  His friends from the CN Rail will remember him as Boots.  Bob loved to golf and to be surrounded by his family at the camp on Patten Lake.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 5, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie. Due to current Covid restrictions, attendance is limited. For those wishing to attend, you must call the Funeral Home (905) 871-0444 between 9 am - 4pm to reserve a spot. Only those with reserved spots will be able to attend. A recording of the service will be available on the Benner website to watch at your convenience by end of day Monday.  If desired, donations can be made in Bob’s memory to St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Fort Erie.
