Obituary of Lily Eleanor Bongelli

Bongelli, Lily "Eleanor" 

April 27, 1927 - February 10, 2021

Eleanor passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital in her 94th year.  Predeceased by her loving husband of 67 years, Alfred, as well as by her daughters Georgena Atreo and Denise Hainsworth. We are sure they are now happily reunited.  Loving Grandmother to Cory (Melanie) Atreo, Adam Atreo and Heather Atreo. Cherished Great-Grandmother to Sydney, Keith, Dylan and Clare Atreo.  She will be greatly missed by her sister-in-law Margaret Bongelli and her many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many extended family.  She was truly loved by so many. 

Eleanor enjoyed spending time with her close friends Michelle, Jean and Joan, as well as the many friends she made at the Beachcombers Senior Citizens Centre. You were all so precious to her and she enjoyed your friendship over the years. 

A Celebration of Eleanor's Wonderful Life will be held at a later time, when we can all be together again. In lieu of flowers, donations in Eleanor's Memory may be made to the CNIB.
