Obituary of David Larouche

Larouche; David Michael Peacefully passed away at his home on Saturday January 9, 2021 with his loving and devoted wife Fay by his side. Dave will be sadly missed by his best pal Roxy. Dearly missed by his Mother, Anne Fletcher (Dwyer)(Larouche), beloved son of the late Rolly Larouche. Loving brother of Larry ( Brenda) Larouche, Margaret (Rob) Vos, Jim ( Linda) Larouche, and Jane Larouche-Thompson. Loving brother in law to John Gagnon (Helen), Bernadette Dair (Danny), Jane St Louis (Rob). Proud Uncle to many Nephews and Nieces including his late and beloved Nephew Troy Larouche. Dave was a passionate sportsman. He loved fishing and being outside with his friends. From golfing to hockey, Dave was always involved. His proudest moments came when he captained the Welland Juvenile AAA Team in 1980/81. The team would travel to Sweden and proudly represent the City Of Welland and make the All Ontario Finals. The following year Dave captained the Welland Farr Mercury Jr B Cougars. His teammates will always remember his passion for the game and devotion to his fellow teammates. The family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors for their exceptional care of Dave during his courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. A special thank you to Colleen and her team with The Palliative Care Program. Arrangements are entrusted to Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave, Fort Erie 905-871-0444. Donations can be made to The Welland & District Humane Society or Walker Family Cancer Centre/Endoscopy Niagara Health System. Cremation has taken place. Honouring of Dave’s life will be shared with Family and Friends at a later date.
