Obituary of Doris Saxton

Doris Laura Alice SAXTON – January 5, 2021 Doris passed away peacefully at Gilmore Lodge, in her 107th year, in the comforting arms of her devoted niece Mary Lou Kellaway. Doris was born in Dorset, England and was raised in Canada. She was predeceased by her parents James and Florence Kellaway, brothers Arthur and William Kellaway, husband Lloyd Raymond, son Frank Raymond, and second husband Harold Saxton. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Susan Raymond, granddaughter Kerrie Raymond, loving niece Mary Lou Kellaway, and several other nieces and nephews. Doris was a very hard working lady throughout her long life. She loved gardening, and had a talent for sewing and knitting. Many benefited from her craft work. Doris’ hard work is a testament to her longevity. She also enjoyed a wonderful friendship with her neighbours and appreciated their help over the years. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will take place at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to make a donation may make one to the charity of their choice.
