It is with heavy heart that I learned of Uncle Louis' passing. Even though we lived provinces apart I could always feel his connection to this side of the family. When I visited a few years back he and Aunt Lina welcomed me with open arms and hospitality, treating me like I was the most important person in their lives at that moment. His dedication and commitment to family is the essence that made him so endearing and respected. He will be missed in body but not in spirit.
Love and condolences,
Bowman Louis

Sending my deepest condolences to my dear friend Diana and her family. We all grew up together and Mr Louie was such a wonderful man. He would always pick us up on rainy days and drive us to school without a thought. He put up with our teenage shinanigans without a word. I have only the fondest memories of him and always will.❤️❤️

Although not related by blood, Louie was like family to me. There was always a warm smile and big hug. His many frequent questions when I walked through the door were are you hungry, are you changing jobs soon and what did you buy?
I will miss our chats and feel lucky to have known him.
Love and hugs to Lina, the Clarke-Louie and Polinski Families. ~Michele

Even though we didn't see him as often as we would have liked, our Uncle Louie was always a part of our family and culture for my brothers and sister and I growing up. This was particular true at Christmas when we would always look forward to his packages, photos and greeting cards. I am grateful to have had this man in my life and was happy we were able to connect recently by phone
Uncle Louis was a wonderful and revered man. He lived a long and happy life.
Love and condolences from our families in Victoria

Farewell Uncle Louis,
Always providing a welcoming hand, my fondest memory is when I returned to Fort Erie having moved away for 10 years. Asked where I would like to visit, I told him Niagara Falls & off we went: Louis, Aunt Lina and myself down the scenic route on the parkway. Coming out of Maple Leaf village, eating candy, I followed behind noticing them walking hand in hand toward the gorge...a scene fitting for a Hallmark card. I spent that summer in their home where he even lent me his prized car to drive to university until I found my own car.
Thank you for opening up your heart to us,
Paul

I was heartbroken when I heard of Uncle Louie. Whenever I would visit the house, he would always ask if I wanted food, and usually it was steak.
As my family moved away from Fort Erie, Uncle Louie and Aunt Lina were kind enough to let me stay in their house for a few months as I wasn't ready to let go of Fort Erie yet. They welcomed me into their home and I am very thankful for that still. Attached is a picture back in 2010 at our wedding.

I am saddened to hear of Uncle Louie's passing. My deepest sympathies to Lina and family. Uncle Louie had such a big heart. I remember moving to Canada with my family in the early 80s. He and Uncle Jack took such great care of us and took turns ensuring we were adjusting well to the new life. He was such a great friend to my parents and always made sure to stay in touch even as we moved out of Fort Erie. He would drive my dad to different places to run errands. He will surely be missed.

I first met Louie and Lina in 1979 when I worked for them at the Parkview. They treated me like family and I have never forgotten their kindness and that loving bond. I reunited with Lina in 2004 and she was so compassionate and loving even after all those years. I have always had great Love and respect for them both. Louie was a remarkably sweet man and will be forever missed. My most Loving and sincere condolences to you Lina; may you find comfort in the love of family and friends and your loving memories of Louie. xoxoxo

Uncle Louis (right) with his brother (my Dad) Bing. They were young and their futures had no boundaries. In April 2007, Uncle Louis told me, "We Chinese are survivors. We always come out strong." His strength shone through his dedication to family and community.
With deepest respect and love,
Holman Louis, nephew
