We are wanting to share our sympathy with the family and friends of Millie. Graeme and I certainly enjoyed our visits with Millie, absorbing her knowledge and stories of the Sherks, Millie being our common family tie. She had a long life, well lived and enjoyed. What we have lost, heaven has gained.

To the Frazer whanau (family).
Please accept our condolences with the passing of your mum, grandmother and friend.
The passing of Mildred will be felt as a huge loss, but we know she has left many memories and these memories will be with you forever.
Your mum and dad all those years ago in summer 1966 were very good to me, taking me into your family for those few months. Millie gave us a great welcome when I finally came back 50+ years later with Sietske. Sietske had become my wife in 1970 and I had always maintained we were to visit the places in Canada which always had remained important to me.
We only touched your family for such a short time, but please accept our thoughts are with you, and all your family. We recognise Millie’s life did not go over roses, but we think of her as a great lady. We will always remember her….
Love from Sietske and Joe de Jong New Zealand.

We are saddened by the loss of Millie. She is one of the few people I know who has had a legitimate loving connection to so many families in our area, including my own. It was delightfully commonplace to enjoy her beaming smile and positive energy at many functions and events. Wishing sincere condolences and God's blessings to the Fraser family. She will be missed, and certainly remembered.

On behalf of the Jeanne Dell (cousin to Burt) family (Mom is now 97), we send our deepest sympathies to the family with fondest memories of Millie and Burt. One of the last wonderful gatherings of family at the homestead was in 1987 when Aunt Betty Hill(Frazer) and Uncle Harold Hill had returned from service as missionaries in Africa. We had a fine gathering and a wonderful hayride that day at the farm. Photo memory of the clan gals attached (another occasion, I believe). Interestingly somewhere along the line part of the family changed the Fraser spelling to Frazer with a "z" - that is why my middle name is Frazer. But we are all part of the same family!
Sincerely Rev. Michael Frazer Dell

Millie was such a special lady. A heart as big as her body, a love of people so strong. I lioved her sense of humour. I learned so much from her sitting around her dining room table talking about "decorating". How to bring treasures home and hide them with out hubby knowing then introducing them with out lying..."this has been here for ages, don't you remember?" Her memories of the past and all that went on in Sherkston will leave a whole in oral history but I know above all she loved the Lord and is with Him now.
