Obituary of Pearl Alice Agrette

Agrette, Pearl Alice-Born 1/8/1922 in Fort Erie, Ontario. Pearl peacefully passed away in her 98th year on August 28, 2020 at Maple Park Lodge in Fort Erie, Ontario. Pearl and her husband, Eugene, operated Agrette’s Red & White grocery store on Niagara Boulevard in Fort Erie, Ontario for many years. After her husband passed away in 1982, Pearl sold the business and en-joyed her retirement years. Prior to marrying Eugene, Pearl operated a successful beauty salon in Fort Erie and performed the first cold wave that became very popular. She was born in Fort Erie in the Grand Trunk Hotel, owned and operated by her parents, Vittoria and Frank Primo. Pearl and Eugene shared love of family, delicious food, entertaining and politics. She had a zest for life, loved people from all walks of life and always demonstrated kindness and thoughtfulness to everyone. Pearl is survived by her three children, James Agrette, Janis Agrette and Joseph (Sharon) Agrette, grandson, Michael (Ilana) Agrette and great grandchildren, Charlize, McLean and Darian Agrette, nephew, Carmen (Anna) Tartaglia, nephew, Tom Tartaglia (Michael Pullen), and niece, Deanna DiMartile. Great Aunt to many nieces and nephews. She leaves family members and friends in the Niagara area, Windsor, Ontario, California and Colorado. Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Agrette, sisters, Mary (Tony) DiMartile and Elsie (Mike) Tartaglia, nephew, Robert (Louise) Tartaglia. The family wishes to thank all of Pearl’s caregivers for their wonderful care, kindness and love shown to Pearl. Special gratitude to the nurses and staff at Maple Park Lodge, Dr. Scher, niece, Deanna DiMartile, Michael and Ilana Agrette, nephew, Tom Tartaglia, friends. Gail Spear and Jack Kenney, family relatives, Donna Summerville, Debra and Bob Dye who assisted the family with their generosity, kindness and love. Pearl was a delight to all who knew her.
